A popular yeast strain with a Berlin lineae that is famous for producing amazing lagers with soft malt character and balaned esters.

Dosage: Use at a rate of 12 g per 5-6 gallons.
Use: BERLIN yeast can be sprinkled directly onto the surface of the wort with good results. However, proper hydration helps ensure a healthy fermentation and is strongly recommended for beers with a starting gravity above 1.060. To hydrate yeast, first sanitize yeast pack and sscissors. Use 1/2 cup (120 ml) of sterilized tap water between 85-95F/29-35C. Sprinkle yeast onto water. Allow slurry to stand undisturbed for 20 min and then swirl. Use small amounts of wort to adjust to within 10F/6C of wort temp before pitching. Ferment betwen 54-62F/12-17C.
