In Star Wars, Carbonite was a strong liquid used to preserve Han Solo. Thru rapid freezing it could change into a solid form to preserve (syn) goods and materials.
This Belgian Tripel could also preserve Solo. With a good 8% ABV you don’t want to get on your Emperial Speeder right away after consumption. However this style began long before thoughts of the galactic empire with the Trappist Monastery at Westmalle Belgium. We can give a lot of credit to the monks there for this wonderful creation.
This succulent beer is very satisfying with a cornucopia of spices, malt, and citrus aromas. The golden beer sets a foundation to hold the dense head of white foam.
